One main reason behind anyone who wants to remove their moles is the potential that it could be cancerous or it is melanoma.
This is what you will have to pay attention to because most melanoma patients fail to treat this seriously and regret having taken any initial action steps to identify it earlier.
Just how do you identify if your mole is a melanoma or not will help your decision making in having it removed. Of course, this is besides just a cosmetic improvement alone.
1. Normally harmless moles has smooth even edges. So that means if your mole typically has rough (uneven) or jagged edges then it needs to be examined by a certified dermatologist.
2. A mole which is harmless also normally remains at a constant size. I've got a few moles which are fairly constant in size on my body so if they are growing in size on yours, take note. Also, if another mole suddenly develops beside a pre-existing mole then you need to get it examined too.
3. Majority Of Normal Moles Are Black Or Brown In Color. Likewise, if your mole is of a different color like shades of black, brown or even red then you will have to have it examined and checked by your doctor. It could very well be melanoma.
Otherwise, there is no need to be alarmed at all instances. All it takes is to do a regular self check and take the necessary steps there after using the tips given above.
